About Us

The Ottawa Network for Borderline Personality Disorder (ON-BPD) is a Canada Revenue Agency CRA registered not-for-profit charity, in existence since 2004. The ON-BPD offers education, skills training and support for families living in the Ottawa Capital region to empower them to provide effective support to their loved ones impacted by emotion dysregulation, suicidality, and related mental health challenges. Traits of Borderline Personality Disorder or Chronic Emotion Dysregulation severely impacts a person's ability to regulate their emotions, can increase impulsivity, affect how a person feels about themselves, and negatively impact their relationships with others. The Family Connections™ program also provides an opportunity to build community and hope to its participants. We are grounded in evidence-based principles and approaches to alleviate suffering of those impacted by BPD and emotion dysregulation.
