The Ottawa Network for Borderline Personality Disorder (ON-BPD) is a volunteer-run charitable organization (Registration number 829239474RR0001) dedicated to increasing awareness of BPD, while educating, developing skills, and supporting family members of people with BPD. The Family Connections® (FC) 12-week course provides education, skills training and support for people who are in a relationship with someone with BPD and/or emotion dysregulation. Focusing on issues specific to BPD, ON-BPD hosts the Family Connections course in a community setting. Trained, volunteer group leaders, who have completed the Family Connections course and are also usually family members of relatives with BPD, lead the course.

In the coming year, ON-BPD plans to grow its most recent initiative, Continuing Connections workshops, that are delivered quarterly to graduates of the Family Connections program, in order to refresh skills and foster support amongst the participants. ON-BPD also plans to pilot Teleconnections, delivery of the FC course via tele-conferencing to reach participants in remote areas and/or with mobility challenges.
